U Thein Lwin is the Freelance Principal Consultant. He has over 40 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, banking, audit, and IT areas, performing in different management roles across various industries, including government organizations, hotels, construction, trading and distribution, hydropower, telecommunications, banking, and software development. He obtained his B.Com in 1983 and CPA in 1986. He is also a holder of the Professional Accountant in Public Practice certificate. Additionally, he achieved the Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) Certificate awarded by CFI, the Corporate Finance Institute. Prior to establishing Value Growth Consulting Ltd., he spent over 7 years as CFO, Dy.CEO, and CEO in different management roles at United Amara Bank, one of the leading banks in Myanmar from 2010 to 2017. He also worked in a Group of Companies, a conglomerate business, for over 7 years as the Group Finance Director, where he set up the accounting and finance systems. Before joining the Group of Companies, he worked at one of the five-star hotels in Myanmar for about 12 years as a Financial Controller, managed by New World Management Ltd. (Hong Kong), Marriott International Ltd. (USA), and Dusit Thani Hotel Group (Thailand) from 1996 to 2008. He also worked at a leading software development company as a system analyst programmer and lecturer for computerized accounting for approximately 3 years from 1994 to 1996. He also spent over 3 years as a practicing auditor from 1994 to 1996 and gained 1 year of audit experience at the Auditor General's Office in 1987. Additionally, he worked for Myanma Electric Power Enterprise, a government organization, as a Finance Officer for about 7 years from 1987 to 1994.
